Every person I have met has enriched my life and that of others. We are a family. Age does not matter and we are so blessed with many ninnavitas. We care for each other and instill in our activities the joy of life. Volunteers are precious drops in the ripples of life / Les bénévoles sont des goûtes précieuses dans la vie

During the summer holidays, I went to Mexico. I liked the food and the beaches. Also, the people were very friendly. I had fun having time with my parents and my annoying brother.

It was the only thing that struck me during 2018.

A fun year

It's about me. I like sports, video games, and  Mexican food, like tacos or burritos.

I play Fortnite which is a very good video game with my friends. It feels like you're in a war.

It helps my creativity and helps me to socialize because I play with people.

Stuff that I like...

Prior to becoming a Board member and advisor of Ninnavita I have been engaged in volunteer work for Simonet Food Bank for over a year.

Simonet with support from Moisson, Montreal, runs a weekly food bank every Friday at 1775 Edward Laurin, Saint Laurent, that serves people in and around Ville Saint Laurent.  There are currently 350 registered with an average of 120 families served every week.  Simonet staff and 20 volunteers are instrumental in running this weekly activity.

During the summer months Simonet has been experiencing a steady decline in manpower, in particular volunteers to receive the goods from Moisson and assist in loading the truck.  As a member of Ninnavita I immediately set out on a mission to recruit some able young men who would volunteer to take on this task. 

Suffice it to say that I take great pride in announcing that Michael and Carlito have undertaken this volunteer service and thus far have made the all needed positive contribution in assisting others.  Laurence has also promised to volunteer in the future with two other friends as long as his schedule permits.

I have had nothing but positive feedback on Michael and Carlito’s performance and would like to take this opportunity to thank you guys for a job well done.

What a perfect example of Ninnavita working for us.

Bubbly Vicky and Hubby Freddie attended the BBQ with liberal leader Mr. Frank Baylis. Ninnavita was there and had a great time. It was wonderful to be served by the youth and to see so many of them from the neighborhood. The food and the cultural entertainment from the various groups were very impressive.

Joy with the Mayor

It is worth watching the International Day show in Pierrefonds because I was able to watch a Tai-chi demonstration by Mr. Zhikang Lee and some of his students. After seeing them perform, I ask Mr. Lee if he could teach the Ninnavita group of volunteers. He gladly accepted. Now, he will be teaching Tai-chi probably until the students have learned the entire exercise. Come and learn Tai-chi with us! It is good for your mind and body. 

Joy as a BOD

Ninnavita has grown from a little group of twelve to a little over 30 people. Everyone grows and promotes good mental. physical, and spiritual exercise. Each volunteer is taking charge of an activity and coming out of their shell by their leadership. We are all benefiting from each other's talents and communicative skills.
